This is pengc’s log, a place to collect learning notes over time.

Start with a question

A note does not need to cover an entire field. Start by making one question clear: Why is it worth exploring? Where do existing explanations fall short? What example would make the idea easier to understand?

Explain it in your own words

Record conclusions alongside reasoning, assumptions, and uncertainty. An idea that feels clear while reading often reveals its gaps only when you try to explain it yourself.

Test through practice

Runnable code, a small experiment, or a counterexample can make an abstract idea concrete. Keep track of the differences between expectations and results. They often become the starting point for the next note.

Keep revising

Notes capture understanding at a particular moment. Keep references, add new findings, and correct earlier conclusions when necessary.

One page at a time, the collection grows.
